Dusk falls like leaves

Dusk

And in the whispering light

With gentle wonders in a lost joy

Yet with the passing throes and trembles

Hope

Yet with the passing wind

Stays and breathes

Memories of love

Memories of a ship that’s left at sea

Left in autumn, kept at bay

The beginnings of your fear

From drawing ever near

In the sea, you’ll find a part of me

And shining pieces of her heart

Brought like wandering ships home

Into the parting sun, the golden light

And hold close a feeling that lingers in your mind
